All Quantum Yoga Teacher Training programs are Yoga Alliance accredited.
The training covers all aspects of Yoga along with detailed instruction in the Quantum Method and how to teach it.
Trainees often start as students and then decide to dedicate themselves more seriously to the study, investigation and propagation of yoga. Some have had experience elsewhere and have reached a level where they feel ready to consider teaching. Others may have no intention of leaving their current work, but simply want to develop the knowledge and ability to confidently guide others in this rewarding practice.
We ask that you familiarise yourself with basic yoga texts before coming on the course (Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita, ‘Light on Yoga’ by B.K.S Iyengar) and prepare an outline proposal for your final paper, which should be written after completion of the course.
The Training comprises the general study of yoga. We will explore the roots of the yoga tradition, learning about its history within the socio-cultural context of India from ancient times to the present day, as well as its links to other mystical traditions and its role internationally today. Students will learn about a variety of systems and styles such as Iyengar, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Jivamukti, Shivananda, Anusara, Scaravelli, Yin Yoga etc. Using the Quantum Method of Yoga, apprentices will eventually gain the ability to assess what practice is appropriate for themselves and their prospective students and learn how to creatively construct balanced flowing vinyasa yoga sequences. As Quantum advocates vinyasa (breath-synchronised movement) as a primary mode of practice, most asana classes will be of a dynamic nature. Pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation practice will also form a daily part of the practice.
There will be a variety of modules covering such themes as Anatomy and Physiology, Adjustments, Therapeutic Yoga, Post and Pre-Natal Yoga, Yoga for Children, Asana names, groupings and sequencing techniques, ancient scriptures such as the Vedas and Upanisads, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Sanskrit, Ayurveda, Buddhism, Tantra etc. Where applicable out-of-house specialists will run the modules.
Teaching will be both practical and theoretical on a group and individual basis, and there is a requirement for you to spend your own time reading and keeping a yoga diary. We will work to a full and exciting schedule.
The Teacher Training will be run by Quantum Yoga Founder, Lara Baumann, Sally-Anne Reynolds and Roanna Doleman, all three of whom are there to provide active support to graduates, nurturing them from Day 1 to Day 30, helping them to reach their utmost potential as yogis and yoga teachers (whether they intend to make it their career or not), plus they are offered a year's free Teacher's Page on the Quantum Yoga website, assistant roles at QY events, shared information about job offers, media promotion, and finally for the more experienced 500-hour QY teachers, the option of a VP position at Tri - Sri Lanka's first truly contemporary, sustainable, luxury design hotel, owned by Lara Baumann-Drummond and husband Rob Drummond.
If you have any questions at all, want to know what to expect from a Quantum Yoga Teacher Training, or are just a little curious, drop me an email - email@example.com. I am happy to chat you through it.

Quantum Yoga Teacher Training in Galle, Sri Lanka
about THE LAST teacher training
This was an amazing opportunity for students to study with the Founder of Quantum Yoga, Lara Baumann, who has been training teachers for over 12 years and is the best of the best when it comes to yoga asana, meditation & pranayama, Ayurveda, yoga philosophy and so much more! The 2017 one-month intensive Quantum Yoga Teacher Training in Sri Lanka was co-taught by myself, Sally-Anne Reynolds, and the amazing Caroline Graham-Wood, at the beautiful Duwa Villas, Ahamgalla, south of Galle.
This fabulous new eco retreat, near the beaches and on a river, is nestled in a quiet enclave of unspoiled tropical nature. Yet all creature comforts are guaranteed at Duwa Villas. Lara Baumann, founder of Quantum Yoga, ran the course, co-taught by 500-hr Quantum Yoga teachers Caroline Graham-Wood and Sally-Anne Reynolds. Dr Matthew Clark has been a guest lecturer on the course for 12 years, covering various specialized subjects, including the roots of yoga, history and philosophy. This year we also benefited from a specialist talk from Dr Matthew Clark on the history of ayahuasca, in advance of his new book release regarding the ancient drug 'Soma' taken often by the Vedic priests during sacred rituals, which Matthew believes is the same molecular combination as ayahuasca, the traditional spiritual brew used in ceremonies among the indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin, known to induce altered states of consciousness.
